RB 409/A09/B09/G09/H09 - Cardholder identification method not valid - must be @, A, or N

Cardholder Identification Code is a one-character, alphanumeric field indicating the method used to identify a cardholder.

Possible Cause

Solution

Cardholder Identification Method not valid.
  1. Delete (void) the transaction that caused the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete (void) feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.

The system validates the cardholder identification code using the ID codes noted in the following table:
