RB 415/A15/B15/G15/H15 - Transaction time not zero or not in format HHMM

Transaction Time is a four-digit field. This field indicates the exact time the transaction is performed.

The Authorization and Capture processing platform validates that the transaction time corresponds to the following format:

Possible Cause

Solution

Transaction time is not zero or not in HHMM format. Hour must be 00-23; minute must be 00-59.

  1. Void the transaction causing the RB.
  2. Offline the transaction back into the terminal.
  3. Transmit the batch.
  4. If the RB still occurs, delete the batch.
  5. Clear the buffers and perform a program load.
  6. Tell the merchant this process takes approximately 30 minutes.

Acquirers

The merchant must call back when the terminal displays Please Initialize. If the batch number was under 100, when the merchant calls back, check the last batch number and have a Hypercom point person bump the batch number in the program file after the update is made.

Ensure the merchant presses Initialize and Enter.

Possible Cause

Solution

Transaction time is not zero or not in HHMM format. Hour must be 00-23; minute must be 00-59.

  1. Delete (void) the transaction causing the RB.
  2. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete (void) feature is not available, delete the batch, offline the corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
