RB 726 - Authorization source code incorrect

Authorization Source Code is a one-digit, alphanumeric field indicating the source code for authorizations of all online authorizations. This field is also generated by the terminal when authorization is acquired through offline or voice referral.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid authorization source code.

  1. Delete the transaction that caused the RB. Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.
  2. If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline the corrected transactions, and re-transmit.

The authorization and Capture processing platform validates that the data element type of this field and the authorization source code correspond to the codes noted in the following table:
