RB B19/C19/G19/H19 - Invalid service indicator

Payment Service Indicator is a one-character, alphanumeric field containing the service indicator value returned in the authorization response for transactions. The system validates the use of the service indicator for PS2K application with the following format:

Y is received in the message response if transaction request is approved.
A is set in the service indicator field for request validation on REPS transactions.
N is received in the message response if transaction request is not approved.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid service indicator.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.
