RB D31 - Invalid market specific data identifier

Market-Specific Data Identifier is a one-character, alphanumeric field returned in the authorization response message.

• This field identifies which industry's data is being submitted.
• This field must be space-filled if the transaction does not include market-specific data.

Note: The Market-Specific Data Identifier field is required for hotel and auto rental merchants to qualify for CPS.

The system validates that the Market-Specific Data Identifier field corresponds to the following format:

• A = Auto rental
• H = Hotel|
