RB D33 - Invalid extra charges

Extra Charges is a six-character, alphanumeric field identifying ancillary charges that are legitimately booked to a cardholder's card after a transaction is completed. Merchants may enter one or more codes on each transaction, but unused positions must be zero-filled.

Possible Cause

Solution

A transaction has an incorrect or invalid Extra Charges.

Delete the transaction that caused the RB.
Offline the corrected transaction and re-transmit.

If the Delete feature is not available, delete the batch, offline corrected transactions, and re-transmit.

The system validates that the Extra Charges field corresponds to the following format:
