RB D45 - Multiple clearing sequence count non-numeric or incorrect

Multiple Clearing Sequence Count is a two-digit field identifying total number of clearing transaction records associated with a single authorization.

Note: This is a required field in the last clearing record in a sequence to qualify for CPS/Passenger Transport.

For all other records in a sequence, the count may be set to zero.
The system validates the data element type and length of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

Incorrect multiple clearing sequence count in the download file.

Correct the multiple clearing sequence count and retain the batch.
Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the multiple clearing sequence count in the terminal.

If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
If invalid, correct the multiple clearing sequence count n the terminal and re-transmit.
