RB K07 - Agent number non-numeric or incorrect

Agent Number is a six-digit field that must be in numeric format. The agent number is assigned by the signing member or processor and identifies an institution that signs merchants as an agent of a member.

The member uses this field to identify the agent within the member system.
The Agent Number field can contain zeros.

The system validates the agent number in the BIN table, along with the hierarchical order of BIN, chain, merchant, store, and terminal numbers defined in the BIN key in the BIN profile.

Solutions

Incorrect agent number in the download file

Correct the agent number and retain the batch.
Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the agent number in the terminal.

If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
If invalid, correct the acquirer BIN in the terminal and re-transmit.
