RB K15 - Invalid time zone differential/GMT offset

Time Zone Differential/GMT Offset is a three-digit, numeric field used to calculate the local time within the VisaNet authorization system.

The system validates that the Time Zone Differential/GMT Offset field corresponds to the following format. The first-digit position should contain one of the codes identified in the following table:

Positive, ahead of GMT, offset in 15 minute increments

Negative, behind GMT, offset in 15 minute increments

Negative, behind GMT, offset in 15 minute increments, participating in daylight savings time

Positive, ahead of GMT, participating in daylight savings time

Negative, behind GMT, participating in daylight savings time

Incorrect time zone differential/GMT offset in the download file

  1. Correct the time zone differential/GMT offset and retain the batch.
  2. Perform a partial download and re-transmit the batch.

The terminal data for this field may be corrupt.

Verify the time zone differential/GMT offset in the terminal.

  • If valid, retain the batch and re-transmit.
  • If invalid, correct the time zone differential/GMT offset in the terminal and re-transmit.
