RB T09 - Batch amount hashing total non-numeric or does not equal sum of transaction amounts in all detail records

Batch Amount Hashing Total is a 16-digit field containing the total of all detail transaction records generated by the terminal. Void and purchase return transaction amounts are treated as positive and added to the total. This field must be numeric and right-justified with zero-fill. The system validates the data element type and length of this field.

Possible Cause

Solution

Invalid or incorrect batch amount hashing total
  1. Retain and re-transmit the batch.
  2. Delete the batch, offline the transactions, and re-transmit.
  3. Perform a master reset and download the terminal, offline the transactions, and re-transmit.

3-digit change in the import file ($X.123)

Change the import file to show a 2-digit change in the amount, delete all transactions in POS-partner that had a 3-digit change in the import file, and then re-import.

The merchant loses the authorizations for those transactions.  They have to re-authorize those transactions.
