The Billing Element Journal report lists either the bank-level or merchant-level (9999) billing element tables that the bank has defined.
The bank-level report is a summary of tables for the bank. From the summary view, you can access the detail view of any entry in the BET # column.
The bank-level detail view and merchant-level report show the billing items included in the table, and the income and expense information for each item.
The page refreshes and Pricing monthly report options become available.
The page refreshes and Billing Element Journal filter criteria become available.
The level of the discount rate or billing element table. Levels are as follows:
This indicates the type of element for which the billing element table was used. Possible values are as follows:
The four-character billing element table number.
Note: A 0000 table number appears for all merchants who are not assigned to billing element tables for card plans.
A number assigned by TSYS that identifies the merchant.
Note: You can search for a merchant ID number. For more information, refer to Searching for data entities.
If data for the selected criteria are available, the report appears.
The Billing Element Journal bank-level summary view includes the following data:
The four-character billing element table number.
Note: A 0000 table number appears for all merchants who are not assigned to billing element tables for card plans.
The date that the most recent changes were made to the BET.
The bank-level detail view and the merchant-level report include the following data:
Name and
Billing Item Name (listed in first column with no column headings)
The 25-character name of the billing item, such as SALES DRAFT.
The name of the table type that is tied to the BET number.
A one-character code that indicates whether the billing item is active. Possible values are as follows:
Y: The billing item is active and being used.
Note: Items flagged N are displayed only when a billing item field contains a value other than null.
The percentage used if expense is calculated as a percentage for the billing item.
The per item amount that is multiplied by the total number of times the billing item is used if expense is calculated per item.
The fixed dollar amount that is used as expense for the billing item.
The twelve-character field that indicates the months from January to December to expense the billing item. Each character represents a month. Possible values for each character are as follows:
The expiration date for the expense billing item.
Date of Last Maintenance (Expense)
The last date that changes were made to the expense information for this billing item.
The percentage used if income is calculated as a percentage for the billing item.
The dollar amount that is multiplied by the total number of times the billing item is used if income is calculated per item.
The fixed dollar amount that is used to calculate income for the billing item.
The twelve-character field that indicates the months from January to December to charge for this billing item. Each character represents a month. Possible values for each character are as follows:
The expiration date for the income billing item.
Date of Last Maintenance (Income)
The last date that changes were made to the income information for this billing item.
A one-character alpha code that indicates how the line item will print on the statement. Codes are as follows:
The line item that is required if income exists for this billing item. The line item, a maximum of 40 alphanumeric characters, is printed on the merchant statement.
Note: The message is defined by the bank and must be identical for each item that is grouped by the same combine code.
A field that the client can use to store any type of free text or notes about a particular billing item.
Access the bank-level detail view
On the summary page, click an entry in the BET # column.
Details about the specific billing element table appears.
Return to the bank-level summary view
On the detail view page, click Back To Summary.
