Terminal VAR Details page
This page opens if, on the Terminal Setup page, you select VAO - OLA FULL DLL INSTALL, PARTIAL SERVICE, BANK OWNED EQUIPMENT or VNO - OLA STAGE ONLY BUILD, NO HELP DESK SUPPORT, BANK OWNED EQUIPMENT in the Service Level field on the Terminal Information panel, and then click Next.
- Enter the terminal VAR details in the fields provided:
VAR Terminal Summary
- Message Types to be Certified: From the list, select each type of messaging the POS device has been certified for.
- Payment Types: From the list, select each payment type the POS device supports.
- Type of Records: From the list, select each type of transaction record the POS device supports.
- Type of Transactions: From the list, select each type of transaction the POS device supports.
- EMV Device: From the list, select each device that the VAR has EMV certified.
- Connectivity Type: From the list, select each type of connectivity that can be enabled with this POS device.
- Target Markets: From the list, select each type of target market the POS device supports.
- Currencies: From the list, select each type of currency the POS device supports.
EMV Contact
- Support EMV Contact: From the drop-down list, select Yes or No to indicate whether or not the setup supports chip-based contact payment cards and terminals. If you select Yes, the following fields become available:
- Visa Contact Floor Limit: Enter the dollar amount below which the EMV Visa transaction can be processed offline if the chip allows.
- MasterCard Contact Floor Limit: Enter the dollar amount below which the EMV MasterCard transaction can be processed offline if the chip allows.
- American Express Contact Floor Limit: Enter the dollar amount below which the EMV American Express transaction can be processed offline if the chip allows.
- Discover Contact Floor Limit: Enter the dollar amount below which the EMV Discover transaction can be processed offline if the chip allows.
- Visa Contact Min %: Enter the minimum number of random EMV VISA transactions that can go offline.
- MasterCard Contact Min %: Enter the minimum number of random EMV MasterCard transactions that can go offline.
- Discover Contact Min %: Enter the minimum number of random EMV Discover transactions that can go offline.
- Visa Contact Max %: Enter the maximum number of random EMV VISA transactions that can go offline.
- MasterCard Contact Max %: Enter the maximum number of random EMV MasterCard transactions that can go offline.
- Discover Contact Max %: Enter the maximum number of random EMV Discover transactions that can go offline.
EMV Contactless
- Support EMV Contactless: From the drop-down list, select Yes or No to indicate whether or not the setup supports chip-based contactless payment cards and terminals. If you select Yes, the following fields become available:
- Contactless Transaction Limit: Enter the transaction limit dollar amount for a contactless transaction.
- Contactless CVM Limit: Enter the CVM limit dollar amount for a contactless transaction. If the EMV contactless transaction is below this amount, the CVM can be ignored if the chip allows.
- Contactless Floor Limit: Enter the contactless floor limit dollar amount. If the EMV contactless transaction is below this amount, it can be processed offline if the chip allows.
- Click Save at any time to save the information you have entered.
- As required:
Click the Next button.
