Step 5: Configure the Host

Hosts contain information that allows the terminal to communicate and process information gathered from the card payment services that you created for the terminal. You must associate a host with each card payment service that you selected for the terminal, but the same host can be associated with multiple card payment services. Each host that you create must be associated with at least one card payment service.

To ensure you are on the correct page:

• If you clicked Next at the Card Range Select page, you should see the Host Select page.

• Find a merchant and open the Host Select page for a terminal that is partially set up.
  1. Search for the merchant to display its details on the Merchant Summary page.
  2. From the Terminal menu, select the terminal you want to view or edit, and then select Host Select.

     From any of the Terminal-related screens, from the Quick Links menu, select Host Select.

     

     The Host Select page opens.

     

To modify a host:

1. Select the payment service for the host that you want to modify from the Avaliable Host list.
2. Click Update.

   The Host Setup page opens.

   

3. Modify values for required fields and optional fields, as needed.
4. Click Save.
5. Click Continue.
6. To begin processing the terminal record, click Validate.
