Close a specific V number

You can also close a specific V number if it is no longer needed by selecting its Close Profile option. If this selection remains unchanged, the V number will be purged from the system after 45 days.

Note: If a V number is left in a Blocked status for 350 consecutive days, the Close Profile option for that V number is then selected automatically. If that selection remains unchanged, the V number will then be purged from the system after 45 days.

1. Search for the merchant to display its details on the Merchant Summary page.
2. In the Merchant Terminals panel, in the V Number column, select the V number you want to close.

   

   The Terminal Setup page for that terminal opens.

   

3. Select the Edit button.
4. In the Terminal Status panel, select the Close Profile check box.

   

   A message box opens asking you to confirm the closure.

5. Select OK.
6. In the Terminal Setup Details box, enter an explanatory comment, such as Closing V number.
7. Select Board.
